Check out the apps store for the Echolink client for the itouch and iPhone works great with the apple combined mic and headphones, you have fav's, text messages, everything you want from an echolink station in a small device.

What a great piece of software, well done to K1RFD who has done an excellent job on this project.

It supports proxy servers so yo can use either a wireless connection direct or a proxy for access from public wifi access points.

I used it with a proxy and its cool, also use my portable 3G wireless router for a direct connection and again success now you can have a really portable echolink station.

 and one would guess you can charge it from the car etc.

Again well done check it out on the app store its free guy's.
