If you have any suggestions of ideas for improvements on the system then please drop us a line, we are always happy to hear from our supporters.

Also if you require any assistance with operating the repeater of gateway we are happy to provide as much assistance as possible including advice about building and operating your own links / repeaters.

If you wish to have a demonstration of the systems or a talk on Internet linking then please contact us we wil be more than happy to assist.

We do get asked a lot about what type of license you need to run a gateway of any sort, you need to be a full or intermmediate licence holder, novice calls (M3) can use internet gateways but cannot install and run their own gateway or repeater system.

Privacy Statement

We do not keep records of repeater or gateway usage beyond that provided by the Echolink system where used, we do however maintain system usage statistics but these do not contain any station information.

The XMIT-ID system in use does have a secure database which is not made public and is stored on a machine that is NOT connected to the internet in any way. The data collected is limited to the first 250ms of a received signal. We do not record any qso that is in progress unless this is for testing when the originating callsign (voice announcement) is removed. We do announce connections to the system, this is for general use and in line with the current Ofcom guidelines

RSGB News

Internet gateways are not permitted to broadcast the RSGB News which is copyright the RSGB and transmissions of the news needs to be made in accordance with the RSGB guidelines by approved readers or rebroadcast using RSGB supplied MP3 files using the call sign GB2RS.

We are aware that some software offerings do permit the transmission of MP3 files such as the RSGB news we do not have any plans to add the facility to either MB7IBG or GB3UI as the systems will be operating as an unlicensed broadcast staion.

Sponsors & Supporters

Whilist we do not encourage sponsorship we do still from time to time receive small donations to the group, we would like to thank you for your continued support of the system. A few words of thanks and continued usage are worth their weight in gold. Remember both GB3UI and MB7IBG are public systems that are free from any commitee for the use by all. We do monitor the system and its traffic but only to ensure complience with licence conditions.
